Both tools exist for the same reason: Google Forms' built-in File upload question requires respondents to sign in to a Google Account (Google Help). They solve it in different ways.

Where your files live
This is the biggest practical difference. Formfacade's help page says: “The files are uploaded on our servers… We do not have Google Drive integration as Google Drive does not allow anonymous users to upload files.” Its Marketplace listing separately advertises that you can “automatically sync uploaded files to your drive”, and storage is sold in plan sizes (10 GB, 100 GB, 1 TB).
NoLoginUpload takes a different route: you authorise it once with Google's narrow drive.file permission, and each respondent's browser uploads the file straight into a folder in your Drive. We don't keep a copy, so there's no separate storage plan to outgrow – your normal Google Drive quota applies.
How your form is handled
In a reply on its Marketplace listing, Formfacade says its default option is to copy your form and modify the file upload question, and that you can choose to modify your existing form instead. With NoLoginUpload you keep your original form: you mark a Short answer or Paragraph question as an upload, and answers are submitted to that same form.
When Formfacade may be the better choice
- You need files larger than 1 GB – Formfacade's listing advertises files over 1 GB.
- You want extras its listing describes, such as paste, select-from-Drive or camera capture in the upload box, file previews, custom CSS for the button, and Zapier or Apps Script integration.
- You already use Formfacade to customise how your forms look and want everything in one tool.
When NoLoginUpload is the better fit
- You want uploads to go straight into your own Google Drive, one tidy folder per response.
- You don't want to buy and manage a separate storage allowance.
- You want a free plan that includes uploads, or the lowest yearly price for unlimited forms and responses ($48/yr for Pro).

How NoLoginUpload works
- Keep your Google Form. Add a Short answer or Paragraph question wherever you want a file, for example “Upload your CV”.
- Connect it. Sign in with Google and pick the form with Google's own file picker. We ask only for your email and Google's
drive.filepermission, which covers the form you pick and the folders and files NoLoginUpload creates – not the rest of your Drive. - Turn that question into an upload box. Choose allowed file types, how many files it accepts, and how files and folders are named.
- Share your NoLoginUpload link or embed it. Respondents fill in the form and upload without signing in. Files go straight into a per-response folder in your Google Drive, and the answers – with a Drive link in the upload question – are submitted to your real Google Form, so they appear in its Responses tab and linked Sheet.
